RISER of the Month June 2023: Erin Sours

Playing competitive team sports growing up, Erin Sours knew firsthand the positive impact of working out with others. “It pushes me out of my comfort zone,” she says.

So, when a friend recruited her into a RISE class in January 2021, Erin knew it would be the positive push her wellness needed. “Today I keep coming for the people,” she says. “The instructors and fellow RISERs and the energy that they give off!”

As a working mom, Erin’s goal is to feel strong and have natural energy to keep up with her busy schedule. “My long-term goal is to live a long and healthy life and to be the fun and active grandma to my grandkids.”

Erin, we see your focus and determination in and outside of class. We’re so proud to have you as a RISER. Congrats on being named RISER of the Month.

What motivates you?

My kids and family. I want to show my kids that being healthy is a lifestyle. What specifically do you like about RISE?

The fun and supportive environment of this studio plus the Challenges. They have helped me and my husband.

What RISE class gets you feeling the most mentally and physically amped?

Allison’s MetCon class helps me feel my strongest while ANY of Katlyn’s classes remind me how mentally strong we can be when we are working out together. What’s your biggest challenge in getting to class, and how do you combat that challenge?

Between work and two kids (my baby is turning one in July) there’s always a reason not to workout. But I know that when mom feels good everyone is happy. RISE is my time to myself! What’s your best healthy living tip?
